Dover Castle – As you visit this wonderful coastal castle, built to defend England, you will also be taking a fascinating journey through some of the most important moments in the history of this country. We visit the Secret Wartime Tunnels where Sir Winston Churchill and Vice-Admiral Ramsay oversaw the evacuation of 338,000 troops from the beaches of Dunkirk in 1940. We will also make a photo-stop at the famous White Cliffs of Dover.

Canterbury – We make a brief visit to this medieval city that has been the centre of English Christianity since St. Augustine arrived in 597AD. We will see the 11th century cathedral that is the seat of the Archbishop of Canterbury.

Leeds Castle – Described by Lord Conway as ‘the loveliest castle in the world’, quite unusually, Leeds Castle sits on an island, surrounded by extensive grounds. The barbican, constructed during the reign of Edward I, is unique in that it is made up of three parts, each having its own entrance, drawbridge, gateway and portcullis. Spectacular falconry displays with birds of prey, choreographed to music, give a fascinating insight into the birds’ natural habitat, diet and behaviour.
